چکیده

Anestrus is essential to an unsuccessful pregnancy in dairy cows. One of the many factors that influences anestrus inactive ovary. To characterize detail plasma metabolic pro- file, cows suffering from ovaries were compared with those natural estrus. The Holstein 60 90 day postpartum intensive farm assigned into groups (IO, n=20) and estrus group (CON, n=22) according signs rectal palpation ovaries. Plasma samples two collected tail vein screen differential metabolites using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) techniques multivariate statistical analysis pathways. results showed 106 compounds screened by GC/MS 14 IO decreased analyzing important variables projection values p MSA.Through pathway analysis, compounds, mainly associated carbohydrate metabolism amino acid meta- bolism, identified IO, which may seriously affect follicular growth. Metabolo- mics profiling, together MSA growth development related a single or multiple pathway(s).

Effects of bovine somatotrophin (bST) on ovarian function in post-partum beef cows.

The effects of bovine somatotrophin (bST) on ovarian follicle development and function and associated gonadotrophin profiles during the first nine weeks post partum were investigated in beef cows. Thirty-two cows (Shorthorn x Galloway) in moderately low body condition (BC) at calving were fed to maintain BC thereafter. At Weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8 post partum, animals were injected with 320 mg bovine...

Influence of suckling and continuous cow-calf association on the resumption of post-partum ovarian function in Bos indicus cows monitored by plasma progesterone profiles.

The effect of suckling on post-partum ovarian function was monitored by weekly plasma progesterone determinations using enzyme immunoassay in 16 Small East African Zebu (Bos indicus) cows maintained with a fertile bull. Five cows continuously suckled their calves (COS), but starting 30 d after calving 6 cows remained with their calves which were prevented from suckling using nose plates (NOS) w...

Plasma Progesterone Levels and Clinical Findings in Dairy Cows with Post-partum Anoestrus

In the study, 1118 Polish Black and White cows from a dairy herd were examined during a three-year period. Three hundred and eighty-eight (34.7%) animals showed no visible oestrus signs until day 60 post-partum. In those cows clinical examinations were performed twice, with a 10 day interval, and blood samples for progesterone analysis were collected simultaneously. Progesterone was measured by...

Post-partum anoestrus in dairy cows: a review.

In modern high-yielding dairy herds fertility is of major economic importance. In order to gain maximum profit, calving intervals should not exceed 365 days. The achievement of a 365-day calving interval requires an early resumption of ovarian activity, an excellent oestrus detection, and a high first-service conception rate. Especially the inability to detect oestrus and to mate the cows by 60...

Post Partum Depression and Thyroid Function

OBJECTIVE Risk of depression is particularly high for women during the prenatal period. Various investigators have attempted to establish a link between thyroid function and post partum depression. This study aimed to investigate whether thyroid function differs in women with postpartum depression compared to a control group. METHODS In this case-control study, subjects were selected from Obs...
